What Is SkinPen® Microneedling?
SkinPen® is the only FDA-approved microneedling device available on the market. The SkinPen® penetrates the skin barrier with tiny, sterile needles to induce the natural healing process. This creates hundreds to thousands of “micro” skin punctures per second in the skin to prompt tissue remodeling without causing scar tissue formation. What Is SkinPen® W/(PRP) Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) is derived from a small sample of your own blood. The sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from your red & white blood cells. Pre-procedure Instructions
- Avoid sun exposure for 24 hours prior to treatment and no sunburns
- Discontinue use of retinoids one week prior to treatment
- Come to your visit with freshly cleansed skin, no lotion, oil, makeup, sunscreen, etc.
Post-procedure Instructions
- SkinPen® is unique in that it provides dramatic results with minimal downtime.
- Immediately after treatment, you will be red and may feel that the treated skin is tight.
- Only used serum after treatment for a couple of days, do not use lotion.
- Use a new pillow case the night of your treatment
- The day after, you will be pink and may still feel a bit irritated, but you can put on makeup and go about your normal activities.
- Wear sunscreen every day!
